I'm alive!! (way to go me!)

oh boy. I think I must be the worst "blogger" ever! (in quotations because I'm not even sure I can call myself one). I don't remember the last update I did. sad sad sad, I know.

I am still alive though! (yay me - right?!) I also have done some sewing!

Made my girl this cute outfit - I'll do a post soon on it since it was a pattern test for the leggings and give you all a review (ps. whole outfit came together in a couple hours!)

I also made myself a shirt - from the "sew what you love" book. My 23 week belly was getting bored of the few maternity shirts I have. I don't know about you ladies out there - but I hate spending loads of $$ on maternity clothes that barely get wear. I have been keeping my eyes open for maternity clothing on the local buy and sells - but it seems like no one has xs maternity, why is that? So I felt a bit less frustrated with my wardrobe by adding in this one top anyways. Now I just need to find a dress that looks like something I would wear and not something my grandmother would wear for a wedding at the start of July. why is dressing a bump so frustrating. maybe it's just me. (vent over)

I made this cute little peasant dress from the sew much ado free peasant dress pattern for the Sept. babes. I added shirring at the top and made the sleeves longer with 2 rows of shirring on them as well - September here can be a bit on the chilly side! I also added belt loops because I couldn't decide to sash or not to sash.

and there you have it. I am alive, still sewing, a bit frustrated with my wardrobe but at least my kid(s) are and will be dressed cute. oh and I want gummy bears. and some Larry and Luna's coconut milk chocolate 'ice cream'. (it is SOOOOO yummy!)
