Pandalicious Tour!!! (GIVEAWAY too!)

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited to be on the Pandalicious tour!!!!! I love the fun prints, the bit of whimsy the fabrics have, and of course we all know I ADORE Art Gallery fabrics - they have amazing drape and buttery soft feels!

For this tour I made the SisBoom Tobago and the Scientific Seamstress Perfectly Preppy! (you can enter to win a copy of each by  leaving a comment on this post - and an extra entry for following me on Instagram)

The skirt is made from PandaGarden Naptime and I made the Tobago top with the Zhu in Mist fabric and free motion appliqued a little of the Pandagarden Naptime scrap to decorate the shirt. (I'll link some resources at the end of the post if you are interested in learning more about free motion applique)

These 2 articles combine for a lot of different looks!

 Skirt and top pair together.

Skirt with a RTW plain top tucked in

Top with RTW skinny jeans (or shorts would work too)

The skirt is maxi length on cheeks and paired with a RTW shirt (pattern includes length options)

I did add a strip of fabric to the skirt width and a pocket which was not in the pattern - but oh so easy to do, and kids NEED a place to store their summer finds!

Each stop of the tour is hosting their own unique giveaway that relates to what they chose to sew - so be sure to check out all the stops!

You can see the whole line here: Pandalicious Line
And check out the Pandalicious Look Book!

ALSO there is a big giveaway for a book and fabric!!!!

Dutch Treat Sewing!

Betz White has a super fun new fabric line out! I love the vintage vibe motifs and cheerful colours in this line which was influenced by Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs wich are a symbol of good fortune.

Dutch Treat has 3 colourways to choose from:

I was sent a half yard each of 2 fabrics in the line, in the aqua/pink colourline.

Betz does fabric lines AND patterns! Her patterns are all very clearly written in my expierence and easy to follow (previous Betz pattern sew).

This Time I made her revrsible bucket hats for my girls and loved how easily they went together! My girls were JUST into the size I made, so these hats should get lots of wear yet.

I had so much fun making with this fabric. One yard total between the 2 fabrics was a fun challenge. After the hats were cut out I couldnt help but notice that there was enough fro a front piece of a SisBoom Tobago on each 1/2 yard!

From where I cut the neckline out of each tobago front I saved that little scoop of fabric to make little pockets for the shirts.

The back of the dress and other side of the hat use another Riley Blake fabric. If the hats are reversible why not match the reverse of the dress right ??

The doodles look of this line is so totally something I ADORE!, the fabric is great to sew clothing with and great for accessories as well.

Thanks for reading along! Which fabric is your favourite from the line?
