Valentines Day sewing! (but not so much so that she can't wear it anytime - I love versatility)
I used the "Oh Deer" pattern from LilyGiggle. Made the swing tunic length with long sleeves. This went together so easily! The actual sewing was maybe an hour, the painting on the details was the time consuming part - but I'm happy I did it! (one day I'll learn how to screen print...). The deer is appliqued on - my very first applique! I'm surprised how well it went, I thought the shirt would pucker and be all weird around it but it's not -yay! Made the babes the 2T size since that is what she wears now and it falls just above her knees.
Oh and did i mention I made this out of old T-shirts! Love cheap fabric and love re-purposing fabric!

Great job Jen! And don't worry, I'll teach you how to screen print soon! I promise! Happy New Year!
Congratulations! It's looks great & I LOVE me some fun with homophones :) I just recently did my first applique, too; although it was on my 5th ever sewing project & doesn't look anywhere as nice as this turned out LOL
Jen what a great t-shirt! Love your cute applique!
I'm visiting to let you know that I've put up your lovely button on my sidebar - as one of the prizes from December's Pyjama Rama contest! It will stay there throughout the month of January!
Best wishes for a fabulous 2012!

Visiting from The Girl Creative ... I really love this shirt ! I might have to make one for my little girl. She is 2 and would look adorable in it.

This is adorable! Really sweet design, and that it's made of up-cycled shirts makes it even better!
